Mailer connection¶
Field reference: apache-airflow-providers-mailer. The mailer provider has three connection types.
mailer_graph (Microsoft Graph Email) needs no manual setup — on
the platform’s managed Airflow deployments, this connection is
provisioned automatically as part of the deployment itself. If your DAGs
send mail via Microsoft Graph, it’s already there under its default
connection id; nothing to create.
The other two types are for cases the managed default doesn’t cover (sending through a different mailbox, an unmanaged/self-hosted instance, or plain SMTP) and do need to be created manually, the same way as any other connection:
Steps¶
In the Airflow UI, open Admin → Connections, then click + to add a new connection.
Set Connection Id to the value your DAGs will pass as
mailer_conn_id, and Connection Type to one of:SMTP OAuth Email(mailer_smtp_oauth)SMTP(Airflow’s built-in type, for plain SMTP)
Fill in the fields for your chosen type and click Save.
